Off to the Arctic!

Hi everyone. I'm presently sitting in the Ottawa International Airport in Ottawa, Ontario and by the time you read this, I will be on a plane heading for the Arctic...the ice floe edge north of Baffin Island, to be exact, on my first tour with my new Canadian Wildlife Photography Tour company!

If you're interested in following our progress across the ice, then please follow my Spot tracker trip link. It won't show much until Saturday night when I'm able to turn it on in Pond Inlet on Baffin Island, but then it will be on all day for most of the days from Sunday, June 13th to Monday, June 21st when we come off of the ice.

I'm really looking forward to sharing my tales with you all when I return, and to telling you about the incredible experience I had last week on the prairies photographing one of Canada's very, very few black-footed ferrets (just 14 exist in the wild in Canada and I was fortunate enough to photograph one for 3 hours last Monday in Grasslands National Park in southern Saskatchewan!).

Happy shooting!

John
