Photo of the Day - Bald Eagle

Today's 'Photo of the Day' comes from my long drive home Wednesday night from eleven days in the British Columbia wilds photographing grizzly bears, eagles, and salmon.  While on the drive I came across this gorgeous eagle perched high atop a spruce tree laden with cones.

A bald eagle sits precariously on top of a spruce tree

Stay tuned in the next few weeks for a lot more images from the bear tours, including the best of the tour participants' photographs.

Happy shooting!

John

I just love getting a beautiful photograph of a wild moment in my inbox everyday! Whether a moment from your vaults, or a moment just captured, these images always start my day reminding me that we are blessed to inhabit Heaven on earth. Happy shooting to you & Happy Thanksgiving! Chantale :)

HiJohn, it is nice to be able to see your photography again. You missed quite the adventure in Bella Coola with the flooding. It has been raining hard all night and hopefully it will not flood again. Have a Happy Thanksgiving. Take care, Kathy.

Bald Eagles are maybe my favorite subject. This is a great shot, with such a nice background and perch. Your stuff is amazing!
